Quickstep, Max Kisman. 1994-2001.

Quickstep was designed in 1994, for the 25th anniversary of SSP Printing Co. in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, a well known print shop for the local design community.

The Quickstep Bold was used for an intro spread, designed by Max Kisman, of a Brian Eno quote in Wired Magazine (#3.05, May 1995): “The problem with computers is that they don’t have enough Africa in them. What’s pissing me off is that they use so little of my body”. Its erratic manual appearance suited well with the paper cut-out style illustration.
