Mundenge Rock, Max Kisman. 2001.

Originally designed in 1984 for a compilation cd of world music called Mundenge (the word for ‘youth dance’ in Zairean dialect, Kipende), this typeface took inspiration, not only from the music itself, but also from the hand-painted lettering of barber shop signs.
